I want to be abundantly clear. I am firmly committed to ensuring that we preserve the natural beauty of our region, to fighting to protect our environment, and to championing the State's environmental goals. I believe we can do each of these without passing the costs onto and making life more difficult for people in our communities, for our small businesses and for our farmers.

Doing so will take radically reforming our system to make things more efficient and ensure that the process to meet those environmental standards is achievable on a timeline that doesn't unnecessarily burden small businesses.
