Job Title: Field + Operations Associate

Location: Remote/District-wide (Greene, Schoharie, Otsego, Delaware, and Albany Counties)
Start Date: ASAP
Compensation: $1,500–$3,000/month, commensurate with availability and experience.

About the Campaign

Thomas Boomhower for Assembly is a grassroots, people-powered campaign focused on delivering Economic Security for All and Real Results for our Communities. We’re building a strong, visible presence across the district, and we’re looking for motivated individuals to help drive that work forward.

Position Overview

This is an entry-level role ideal for anyone looking to gain hands-on experience in a political campaign.

You’ll be involved in both field organizing and campaign operations, helping coordinate volunteers, support events, and contribute to the overall direction of the campaign.

What You’ll Do

• Organize and schedule volunteer shifts, canvasses, and campaign events

• Communicate with volunteers (texts, calls, reminders, follow-ups)

• Staff events, petitioning efforts, and canvasses across the district

• Assist with day-to-day campaign operations and logistics

• Track and maintain weekly event calendars and campaign activity

• Help track endorsements and supporter engagement

• Assist with website updates and collaborating on campaign media materials

• Work closely with campaign leadership and have the opportunity to provide input on campaign decisions

• Serve as a visible, positive presence on the campaign trail

What We’re Looking For

• Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented

• Strong communication skills and comfortable working with people

• Able to manage multiple tasks

• Willing to work on a flexible schedule (including weekend and evening events, meetings, etc.)

• Interest in public service, politics, or community organizing

• Ability to travel within the district is a plus

• Someone who is passionate and not afraid of it!
